How to Take Your Look From Day to Night With The Huesticks

Hey Tint Fam, today’s blog post is from Team LT’s Mesha, who is talking all about how she takes her makeup look from day to night with the Huesticks! Keep reading to find out what she has to say…

We’ve all been there, when the work day is about to end and there’s not enough time to redo your entire face before your plans for a night out (or a night in -- let’s be real these days). Luckily the Huestick saves you from all your beauty concerns: it’s easy to apply with fingers, a brush, or directly from the bullet, it works as an eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick, AND it’s in stick form so it won’t take up any space in your purse or work bag. Can you think of a better evening pick-me-up?

First you want to freshen up your complexion. Avoiding foundation is the key to keeping your skin looking fresh and hydrated. You can use a color correcting Huestick like RISE, PERK, or ORIGIN to correct any dark spots or discoloration and follow up with a concealer. Set with a translucent powder to keep everything in place.

The great part about the Huesticks is that they are easily buildable and blendable. Personally, my favorite way to spice up an eye look with the Huestick is to apply a darker shade like FOUND to the outer corner of the eye and bottom lash line to give it a smokey-eye effect. Then I pop PERK in the inner corner to add contrast and make myself look more awake. This ombre eye tutorial by Hue Pro Mayely Paez is a great example of how quickly you can give the eyes some drama.

After a long day, adding some color to your complexion can make a huge difference to your appearance. Add a small amount of the Huestick to the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingers to brighten up your face. Dab a small amount on the bridge of your nose to give it a sun kissed look.

If you’re going to pull off a bold lip, there’s no better time to do it than at night. Start by lining your lips with your favorite lip liner -- this will keep the Huestick in place throughout the night. Then apply the Huestick directly to your lips for intense pigment. Add PERK to the center of your lips to give yourself a pout. If you’re more of a neutral person, try applying a brown lip liner to the lips and pairing it with PERK in the center and top off with a gloss. It’s the perfect 90s look.

Finally, spritz your face with a setting spray to keep your look dewy and locked in all night. It’s just that simple. ~ Mesha
